JIMMY & JACK CIC GEARING-UP TO BENEFIT FROM CHARITY BIKE RIDE

On Sunday 21st September 2014, the Sporting HEARTS charity will be undertaking a re-run of the ‘To Derby & Back’ bike ride which initially took place last July, to raise money for the Jimmy & Jack Statue Fund.

This year, the event will see a number of community initiatives benefit, including three with very strong Notts County associations – Jimmy & Jack CIC, the Notts County Former Players’ Association and Lifeline.

Colin Slater MBE is a much-respected figure that has a deep-rooted involvement with all these organisations – including being a Life President and director of Sporting HEARTS – and offers:
“All three organisations due to benefit from this year’s Bike Ride do an immense amount of good work and, for their sakes, I trust the event will attract support from a large number of participants and produce another stunning financial result.”

Colin summarises:
“Jimmy and Jack had particular reason to know of the work of the Former Players’ Association. It organised a memorable 80th birthday celebration for Jimmy and made Jack the very first recipient of the annual Achievement Award. Today the memory of two absolute Magpies’ legends lives on!”
